Building with Intention

‘Building with Intention’ tells the story of a group of strangers coming together to build a home and a strong caring community in Amsterdam. They are united through common values and the dream of having a qualitative home that is affordable and long-term in the most expensive rental market in Europe. They organized to live without landlords and not be at the mercy of the free market anymore. Building a home and a community has its hopes, but also its struggles, as the inhabitants of de Nieuwe Meent are just months away from moving into their brand new home after eight years in the making. ‘Building with Intention’ invites you to wonder about the possibilities of an alternative way of living, and how a community can take power into their hands to create their ideal system, dream home, and intentional community.

North She Surf Club

This project was part of the open call of the Amsterdam Museum, Vrouwen van Amsterdam, een Ode (Women of Amsterdam, an ode). We followed a women-only surf club and co-created an audiovisual ode telling the story of their club and the mutual respect and admiration they share for each other.

I was the Director of Photography on this project.

Homo Ludens

This project is a short documentary that we created with a team of 6 students for the University of Amsterdam. I was the Director of Photography on this project.

This documentary presents the community of Ruigoord, a small village populated by artists on the outskirts of Amsterdam that resisted the expansion of the harbor.

Short Fiction Film

Dichotomy

This project is a short fiction film created for the University of Amsterdam with 5 other students. I directed that short film.

This film is a reflection about mental health, obsession, and an ode to water. It was inspired by Jordan Peele's style, making you think and look twice.

Commercial Work

Tender Knit x Gayance

This project aims to record and shine a light on emerging electronic music artists in a relaxed environment in the style of the early Boiler Rooms. I was the Director of Photography for this shoot and have been part of their production team since then.

This session features internationally renowned French Canadian DJ Gayance.

Slim Radio Live Session x Rockpool Dramas

This project is part of the Live Sessions series by Slim Radio, a student radio I worked for as a videographer and photographer. We invited musicians to play live in our community area and recorded the session.

I edited and operated a camera in this session.
